Skoky

Skoky

Do you like abandoned places? Then come with us to the vanished village of Skoky, which has been completely abandoned since 1982. Leave your car in the nearby village of Sovolusky, from where it is only a few kilometres walk to the pilgrimage church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary. Take a look at the church and the old houses that nature has already taken over.

The fact that the village remained abandoned was largely due to the post-war removal of Germans from the Sudetenland and the later communist regime, which relocated the local settlers to the nearby JZD. Although the village is now abandoned, there are still a few recent projects to save it and once a year there are festivals.
