Boží Dar is the highest-altitude town in Central Europe. Thanks to its excellent snow conditions, it offers winter sports enthusiasts downhill slopes, cross-country trails, and the famous Santa Claus Trail, which you can explore with your children. In addition to the snow-covered landscape you can admire while skiing or enjoying other winter sports, you can also visit the Božídarské Rašeliniště Nature Trail, which is part of the Božídarské Rašeliniště National Nature Reserve. The trail is 3.2 km long and runs along boardwalks, ensuring the safety of both visitors and the rare species of animals and plants found here. Along the route, you’ll come across 12 information panels containing details about the surrounding environment and the unique features of the peat bog, the history of peat extraction in the Ore Mountains, and more. The trail’s final stop connects to another nature trail, the Blatenský Ditch, a technical cultural monument featuring 23 stops and the beautiful natural scenery of the Ore Mountains.
