Santa's Journey

The town of Boží Dar in the Ore Mountains is known for its Christmas " Santa' s Trail," which is full of fun activities and challenges for children of all ages. You can choose from two trails that differ in length. The full trail is 12.9 km long, making it more suitable for experienced hikers, while the shorter trail is 5.6 km long and better suited for younger children. You can enjoy St. Nicholas’ Trail not only during the Christmas holidays but also throughout the year. The trail is accessible for strollers and bicycles, as well as for cross-country skiers in the winter. After snowfall, the forest trails are groomed for both cross-country skiers and hikers. A total of 13 stops await you along Santa’s Trail. At each stop, there are little houses decorated with fairy-tale characters, where various tasks for children are prepared. Baby Jesus and his helpers from Baby Jesus’s World will assist them with these tasks. Children write down the solutions to the tasks in a notebook, which can be purchased at the information center before starting the trail. After handing in the completed notebook at the information center, children receive Baby Jesus’s stamp and small gifts.
