Doubrava Open-Air Museum

The village of Doubrava was founded in the early 14th century and is an example of typical medieval settlement sites. After World War II, the original German inhabitants were displaced, and new residents, mostly Czechs, moved into the village. However, in the 1950s, they were forced to leave Doubrava due to collectivization and Cold War tensions. As a result, the buildings stood abandoned for several years. It was not until after 1968 that vacationers began buying back the farmsteads, which served as recreational properties. Thanks to them, the farmsteads were preserved in their original condition, as there was no need to modernize them for agricultural purposes.
